Joshua and Matthew Detherage-Gromer, of Warrensburg, recently became the parents of a daughter, Shelby Jean Detherage-Gromer.
Shelby was born on Nov. 11, 2022, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. She weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces. Joshua and Matthew officially adopted Shelby on Aug. 23, 2023.
The grandparents are John Pieron of Warrensburg, Margie and Koy McNary of Columbia, Glen and Lisa Gromer of Columbia, and the late Julia Pieron and Burrell Detherage. The great-grandparent is Glen Detherage of Ava.
Shelby Jean was named in honor of her late grandmother, Julia Jean Pieron, and great-grandmother, Jean Merideth.
