John T. Campbell Jr., 48, was arrested on April 8 for driving with a revoked license after a traffic stop near South Maguire Street. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released with multiple citations.

UCM Theatre and Dance presents awards, scholarships at annual banquet

University of Central Missouri Theatre and Dance hosted its annual Awards and Scholarship Banquet on April 27 on the Highlander Stage on the UCM campus. UCM’s Theta Alpha Phi, National Theatre Honorary Fraternity, hosted the banquet with nearly 75 faculty, students, and guests, awarding 41 scholarships worth $59,000 to current and incoming Theatre and Dance students.

West Central Electric Cooperative announced that three area high school students are preparing to pack their bags for a week in Washington, D.C., following the 2024 Rural Electric Youth Tour finals hosted April 3.

Moin U. Mojumder, 25, was arrested on April 1 for leaving the scene of an accident in the 700 block of Charles Street. He was located in the 600 block of Main Street. He was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked, and released for leaving the scene of an accident.
Pleasant Hill man injured in Highway 50 accident
Frederick B. Waitzmann, 65, was arrested on March 25 for trespassing and resisting an officer during an arrest. He was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center at his request and was released to medical staff with two city citations.

WARRENSBURG – It’s not very often that a school celebrates a century in one location. But on Thursday afternoon, May 2, Martin Warren Elementary School will celebrate hitting the century mark with an assembly and open house for the community.
