Trails Regional Library hosts Coffee and Connections at 9 a.m. every Tuesday at the Warrensburg Branch. This program is for adults.

Trails Regional Library hosts Storytime in the Stacks at 10 a.m. every Tuesday at the Warrensburg Branch. This is a kids program.

Offered by Journey Home, Refuge on Ming and various area churches, hot lunch is provided from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 206 N. College St. in Warrensburg. Medical services provided by Katy Trail Community Health’s mobile unit are available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of The Food Center, 137 E. Culton St. in Warrensburg. Dr. Alan Wenger, University of Central Missouri professor of trumpet, will present a faculty recital, “Portraits and Prose: Musical Depictions for Trumpet and Organ,” at 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Warrensburg. Wenger will be joined by guest organist Dr. Donna Hetrick and UCM Professor of Voice Dr. Jacob Sentgeorge. Admission is free.

Johnson County Community Health Services offers walk-in COVID-19 vaccines from 1 to 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday. It is not necessary to make an appointment.

The Knob Noster Parks Board will host a free movie night at 6:30 p.m. at Welch Memorial Park on Lucas Street across from Sonic. The movie will be the original “There will be vendors with food available for purchase.

Sunday, Oct. 1

The Johnson County Cancer Support Group will meet from noon to 2 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 500 N. Ridgeview Drive, in room 106.

University of Central Missouri Theatre and Dance will present “Everybody” at 2 p.m. in the Highlander Theatre. The Sunday matinee is a Pay-What-You-Can performance and attendees may choose to pay any amount, $1 or above, for a ticket.

Monday, Oct. 2

Seniors Jammin’ meets at 1 p.m. Monday at East Gate Restoration Branch, 401 N. Main St., Centerview. Bring your instrument, singing voice or listening ear for this free, informal, relaxed, weekly event.
