Tuesday, Oct. 17

Trails Regional Library hosts Coffee and Connections at 9 a.m. every Tuesday at the Warrensburg Branch. This program is for adults.

Care Connection and ParentLink of University of Missouri will host a regular support group for grandparents and other relatives raising children in Johnson County from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Trails Regional Library, 432 N. Holden St.

Trails Regional Library hosts Storytime in the Stacks at 10 a.m. every Tuesday at the Warrensburg Branch. This is a kids program.

The Warrensburg Senior Center, X, is partnering with Johnson County Community Health Services to help provide COVID-19, flu, pneumonia, and shingles vaccines from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Offered by Journey Home, Refuge on Ming and various area churches, hot lunch is provided from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 206 N. College St. in Warrensburg. Medical services provided by Katy Trail Community Health’s mobile unit are available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of The Food Center, 137 E. Culton St. in Warrensburg. Wednesday, Oct. 18

Rotary of Central Missouri will meet from noon to 1 p.m. in Elliott Student Union Room 235 on the University of Central Missouri campus. Lunch is not provided but attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch.

University of Missouri Extension will offer a free online event, Home Energy Conservation, at noon on Zoom. To register, visit extension.missouri.edu and search for “Home Energy Conservation.”

Johnson County Community Health Services offers walk-in COVID-19 vaccines from 1 to 4 p.m. every Wednesday. It is not necessary to make an appointment.

The University of Central Missouri Homecoming parade will begin at 9 a.m. in downtown Warrensburg. For more information about this week’s Homecoming events, visit ucmfoundation.org/events/homecoming.

The Martin Warren chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will meet at 10:30 a.m. at RISE Café, 607 N. Ridgeview Drive in Warrensburg.

The Oak Grove Community Church, 129 NE 1150 Road, will host a Give Back to the Community Movie Night. Hotdogs, popcorn and cold drinks will be available at 6 p.m. and the family comedy movie will start at 7 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
