WARRENSBURG — The Warrensburg Schools Foundation recognized the academic achievement of Warrensburg High School students at the 33rd annual Academic Excellence Awards Celebration on June 22.

Nearly 150 Warrensburg High School students were recognized for reaching the top 15% of their graduating class, including 23 seniors who were recognized for reaching this level all four years of high school.

University of Central Missouri Professor Joe Moore was the master of ceremonies for the celebration.

Warrensburg School District Superintendent Andy Kohl welcomed the attendees and WHS Principal Bret Pummill congratulated the students on their hard work and achievement.

Each recipient was presented with a medallion designed specifically for the event. Assisting in the medallion presentation was Andrea Houseworth and Chad Appleton of Murdock Banner Financial Group, Assistant Superintendent Troy Marnholtz and Warrensburg Schools Foundation Board President Bob Lotspeich.
