Warrensburg police reports for Oct. 14

James D. Cento, 70, was arrested Sept. 17 in the 600 block of Burkarth Road for possession of a controlled substance after officers patrolling the area located a male subject with suspected warrants. Officers made contact with the subject and confirmed active warrants. He was arrested and was found to be in possession of narcotics during a search. He was booked on scene for drug possession and transported to the Johnson County Jail to be placed in lieu of bond.

​Jerry L. Boling, 40, was arrested Sept. 17 near the intersection of Market and Mitchell for driving while revoked after officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving. Officers made contact with the driver, whose driving status was confirmed to be revoked in Missouri. He was arrested, transported to the Warrenburg Department, booked and released with a signed city summons.

Joseph C. Whitham, 28, was arrested Sept. 18 in the 800 block of North Holden Street for driving while suspended after officers stopped a vehicle for speeding. Officers made contact with the driver, who was arrested for speeding, improper registration, no insurance and driving while suspended. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released with a signed city summons.

​Miriah G. Thompson, 34, was arrested Sept. 19 in the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard for shoplifting after officers were dispatched in reference to a shoplifting in progress. Upon arrival, asset protection informed officers that they had a known female subject detained in their office for stealing. After reviewing footage, officers confirmed the subject had been the one who shoplifted. She was arrested, transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.

Andrew D. Schildmeier, 32, was arrested Sept. 19 in the 100 block of South Holden Street for trespassing after officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard on Sept. 16 in regard to trespassing. Asset protection reported a known male subject who had been previously trespassed had been seen on property. Officers were unable to locate him upon arrival and mailed a city summons for trespassing to his last known address.

Christian C.P. Root, 20, was arrested Sept. 20 in the 200 block of Courtland Street for animal neglect after officers were dispatched to the 400 block of North Maguire in reference to an animal call. Upon arrival, a female reported an abandoned dog inside a hot Toyota Tacoma. Officers unlocked the truck and placed the dog in the care of a family member. The male was arrested and cited for animal neglect.

Haley D. Aleshire, 29, was arrested Sept. 20 in the 400 block of Burkararth Road for no proof of insurance, failure to yield on the left at an intersection and driving while intoxicated after officers were dispatched to the area of East Russell Avenue and North Maguire Street in reference to a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a known female driver who was determined to be driving while intoxicated. She was arrested, transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.

Crystal S. Trammel, 41, was arrested Sept. 21 in the 100 block of South Holden Street for shoplifting after officers were called to the 300 block of Hawthorne Boulevard in reference to a theft. The business reported that a known female stole a pair of shoes on Sept. 14 and fled the scene. On Sept. 21, officers made contact with the female at the Warrensburg Police Department. She was arrested, booked and released with a signed city summons.

​Christian C.P. Root, 20, and Laneisha M. Mitchell, 19, were arrested Sept. 21, in the 200 block of Courtland Avenue for disturbing public peace after officers were dispatched to a parking lot in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers noticed a known male and female arguing outside. Due to multiple calls, both subjects were arrested, booked and released on scene with signed citations for disturbing public peace.

Betty J. Deshotels, 67, was arrested Sept. 21 near the intersection of West Pine Street and Washington Street for drug and paraphernalia possession in reference to theft. A man reported that an unknown subject stole items from a truck on Sept. 21. One of the items was found to be in another vehicle and a female was arrested during a routine search, found in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released with a signed city summons.
