WARRENSBURG– A Warrensburg man was arrested within city limits Tuesday, Dec. 9, for the online possession of child sexual abuse material.

Noah Rogers, 20, was charged with a class B felony of possession of child pornography and a class D felony of promotion of child pornography after a joint investigation by the Western Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Warrensburg Police Department. The case began in October after a cyber tip was submitted to WMICAC.

According to the court documents, on Oct. 11, Rogers was in possession of obscene, sexual materials involving a minor between the ages of 12 to 15 with an intent to transfer those materials.

The alleged material was sent to another person through the social media platform Instagram.

Rogers is being held in the Johnson County Jail on a $75,000 cash-only bond until further legal proceedings are scheduled.

The WMICAC Task Force is a group of law enforcement agencies across Central Missouri that operates in coordination with the Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to investigate and prevent crimes that involve exploiting children online.
