Warrensburg area police reports for Sept. 15

Zachary A. Hastings, 25, was arrested Aug. 17 in the 100 block of West Market Street for harassment and an order of protection violation after a known female subject reported a known male had violated an ex parte by speaking to her in the Johnson County Courthouse. The investigation found that he had violated the order multiple times. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail, where he was booked and released to staff. 

Richard A. Ham, 67, was arrested Aug. 17 in the area of Maguire Street and East Gay Street for driving while suspended after officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident. After investigation, officers determined a male driver had failed to obey a traffic light and had a suspended license. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released. 

Kevin D. Allen, 53, was arrested Aug. 18 in the 700 block of North Maguire Street for trespassing and disturbing the public peace after a business reported that a known male who had just been trespassed from the property had returned and was trespassing again. The reporting party stated a male subject yelled and was cussing at him. The male was located at a neighboring business in the 300 block of East Young Street, where he was also trespassed from. He was arrested for two counts of trespassing and peace disturbance. He was booked and released with citations. 

Daniel W. Lingle, 63, was arrested Aug. 19 in the 400 block of East Gay Street for violating an order of protection after a female reported a known male subject, whom she had an order of protection against, was locked inside the garage. Officers contacted the male and arrested him for the violation. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. 

Kelly C. Bailey, 46, was arrested Aug. 19 in the 700 block of South Main Street for trespassing and simple assault after officers were dispatched for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers found a known female being detained for trying to enter apartments without being invited and assaulting tenants. The known female was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where she was booked and released. 

Christopher D. Paxton, 41, and Shelby N. Markel, 31, were arrested Aug. 21 in the 200 block of SE 13 Highway after officers responded Aug. 17  to the 200 block of W. Young Avenue on the report of potential counterfeit currency. The general manager stated the bills had passed the marker test Aug. 16, but were caught by the bill counter. After investigation, it was determined a known male and female had used counterfeit bills at numerous businesses. They were later located, transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released pending state charges. 

Christopher D. Paxton, 41, and Shelby N. Markel, 31, were arrested Aug. 21 in the 200 block of SE Business 13 Highway for forgery after officers were dispatched Aug. 18 to the 400 block of North Maguire Street for the report of a bank receiving seven forged bills from five different businesses in their deposits. It was determined one of the bills was used in the 300 block of East Young Avenue. The investigation is ongoing. 

Kevin D. Allen, 53, was arrested Aug. 20 in the 700 block of North Maguire Street for simple assault after officers were dispatched to the 500 block of North Maguire Street for an assault that had just occurred. A female victim was interviewed and examined by EMS. The suspect was located in the 700 block of North Maguire Street. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released. 

Daxton P. Roberts, 21; Reece William Troyer, 22; and Jake M. Sartwell, 22, were arrested Aug. 22 in the 300 block of East Market Street for stealing after someone reported three male subjects carrying what they believed to be a stolen street sign in the area of Culton Street and Maguire Street. Officers located the males with a City of Warrensburg Do Not Enter sign with a pole. They were arrested, booked and released from the Warrensburg Police Department. The sign was returned to the Street Department. 

Lindsay R. Meyer, 37, was arrested Aug. 22 in the 800 block of West Gay Street for second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, obstruction and DWI after officers responded to the report of a disturbance involving a possibly intoxicated female subject who left with her children in the vehicle in the 30th block of SW 101 RD. The vehicle was located in the 800 block of Gay Street. The female subject was arrested, transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released. 

Dale A. Conger III, 30, was arrested Aug. 22 in the 300 block of East Young Street for failure to register as a sex offender after officers responded to the 600 block of Burkarth RD. Officers contacted a male subject on the Missouri State Highway Patrol sex offender registry due to information about the male subject being non-compliant. After investigation, the male was found not registered, living within 1,000 feet of a school and not at his address of record. He was arrested, booked and released from the Warrensburg Police Department, pending state charges. 

Kevin D. Allen, 53, was arrested Aug. 22  in the 300 block of North Maguire Street for obstruction, violating an order of protection and trespassing after officers observed a known male subject at a business he was previously trespassed from. The male subject was arrested for violating a protection order by being on the business property and trespassing. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, and the male refused to participate during the booking process. He was released to the Johnson County Jail and left in the custody of jail staff, pending state charges. 

Brenna K. Kelly, 20, was arrested in the area of Warren and South Streets for possession of a fictitious/altered license, minor in possession of alcohol and resisting arrest after officers stopped a group of people for having open alcohol containers and looking to be under the age of 21. A female subject soon fled from the officers on foot. Officers chased the female, and she was apprehended. She was arrested, booked and released from the Warrensburg Police Department. 

Josiah B. Sills, 26, was arrested Aug. 23 in the 700 block of North Maguire Street for improper registration - expired plates and driving while intoxicated after officers were dispatched to the report of a possibly intoxicated driver. A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle matching the suspect description for failure to signal. The male driver was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released with multiple signed summonses. 

Emmanuel Hicks, 33, was arrested Aug. 23 in the 300 block of East Young Street for unlawful use of a weapon and driving while intoxicated after officers were dispatched to a disturbance involving a male threatening to ram other vehicles. The male in question was located and found to be in possession of an illegal weapon. He was arrested for the weapon violation and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department. At WPD, a DWI investigation was conducted. He was booked and released with multiple summonses. 

Danny J. Paris, 49, was arrested Aug. 23 in the 200 block of Ming Street for obstruction, failing to obey a lawful order and dogs running at large after officers responded to dogs running at large in the 500 block of McGoodwin Street. The owner was contacted and advised he would receive a citation for a dog at large. While waiting for the citation to be written, he left the scene. He was soon located, arrested for obstruction and issued citations.
