Warrensburg area police reports for Dec. 23

Stephen R. Morgan, 37, was arrested Nov. 24 for tampering with physical evidence, endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated and driving while suspended in the 800 block of Young Street after officers were dispatched in reference to a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male who was arrested, transported to Western Missouri Medical Center, booked and released to medical staff.

Christie R. Taylor, 49, was arrested Nov. 26 for obstructing process in the 1000 block of West Gay Street after officers conducted a vehicle check. Officers made contact with a female who gave a false name to officers. She was subsequently arrested for obstruction, trespassing and multiple warrants. She was transported to the Johnson County Jail, where she was placed in lieu of bond.

Randall L. Winter, 60, was arrested Nov. 26 for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while revoked in the 200 block of East Young Street after officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to signal turns at Sparks Street and College Street. Officers made contact with the driver, who was arrested for driving while revoked. During a search, a K-9 sniff alerted officers to narcotics. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released on state charges.

Rashid L. Abdul Halum, 51, was arrested Nov 28 for an open container violation in the 600 block of East Young Street after officers were dispatched to a disturbance. Employees at a business reported an intoxicated subject trying to enter the business during closed hours. Officers made contact with the male, and he was arrested for possession of an open container. He was transported by JCAD to Western Missouri Medical Center. Custody was transferred to hospital staff and officers provided him a signed city summons on scene.

Jacob K. Monroe, 35, was arrested Nov. 29 for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and stealing in the 200 block of East Cooper Boulevard after officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard in reference to a theft. Asset Protection responded to a male who had shoplifted multiple items from the store and fled. Officers located the male and arrested him for being in possession of the stolen merchandise. After further investigation, the male was arrested, transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.

Jack E. Chase, 46, was arrested Nov. 29 for shoplifting in the 300 block of Maguire Street after officers were dispatched to a business in reference to a theft. A business reported a male stole alcohol and left on foot. Officers located the male, where he was arrested for shoplifting. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released with a signed city summons and a trespass notice.

Jaden T. Murray, 26, was arrested Nov. 30 for driving while intoxicated and driving while suspended near the intersection of South Holden Street and West South Street after officers located a vehicle on the side of the street with its hazards on. Officers made contact and found the driver was driving while intoxicated with a suspended license. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released with a signed city summons.
