Sean N. Melcher, 24, was arrested July 13 in the 300 block of West Young Street for domestic assault after officers responded to a physical assault that had just occurred. Officers arrived on scene, and it was determined a male subject had pushed the female subject down to the ground multiple times during an argument. After an investigation, the male subject was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department where he was processed and released with a signed summons.
Kourtney J. Parker, 30, was arrested for shoplifting while Kiara R. Willis, 25, was arrested for shoplifting and second-degree burglary July 14 in the 100 block of South Holden Street after officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard for shoplifting. Two female subjects are seen on video footage stealing clothes, alcohol, and a handbag from the store without rendering payment. Investigation continues.
Austin R. Blankenship, 29, was arrested July 14 in the 400 block of North Maguire Street for possession of a controlled substance after officers were dispatched in reference to an unconscious male subject. Officers contacted the male, who was woken up. The male appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and consented to a search of his person. Officers located methamphetamine. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.
Elizabeth M. Campbell, 38, was arrested July 15 in the 500 block of North Ridgeview Drive for driving while suspended/revoked after officers were dispatched to Probation and Parole for an active warrant out of Johnson County. The female was arrested for the warrant and issued a citation for driving without a valid driver’s license. She was transported to the Johnson County in lieu of bond.
Bradley G. Arnett Jr., 43, was arrested July 16 in the 900 block of North Maguire Street for unlawful use of a weapon after officers responded to a truck versus bicycle crash. It was reported that an assault occurred on scene between the two male subjects after the crash. After investigation, a male was taken into custody for a felony warrant and possession of brass knuckles. He was cited and transported to the Johnson County Jail.
Allison K. Hudson, 32, and Damon W. Pemberton, 27, were arrested July 16 in the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard for shoplifting. Asset protection told officers a male subject and a female subject were detained for skip scanning items. Both admitted the theft and were transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where they were booked and released with citations.
Austin H. Tran, 19, was arrested July 17 in the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard for shoplifting after asset protection reported a known male subject stole $54.40 worth of merchandise by skip scanning. When officers arrived, the male had been detained by asset protection. When questioned, he admitted to the theft. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.
Samantha J. Smith, 36, was arrested July 17 in the 100 block of 50 Highway for driving while revoked after officers conducted a traffic stop for a broken taillight and failure to maintain lane. The driver was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.
Cameron J. Lee, 26, was arrested July 18 in the area of Young Street and Main Street for driving while revoked after officers conducted a traffic stop for no front plate and a defective brake light. The driver was arrested for driving while revoked and had warrants out of Warrensburg, Lee’s Summit and Johnson County. The male was booked and released and posted a cash bond on each. He was released with new court dates.
Ashlyn G. Cusick, 18, was arrested July 18 in the 900 block of East Gay Street for trespassing and two counts of simple domestic assault after officers were dispatched to an active disturbance. Parties were separated upon officers' arrival. A witness stated a female suspect forced her way into the residence and assaulted two juveniles. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.
Casey A Batts, 26, was arrested July 18 in the 1100 block of Thompson for simple domestic assault and aggravated domestic assault after officers were dispatched to a domestic assault in progress. A male subject was arrested for domestic assault after he pushed a known female subject and hit a juvenile victim with an object. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.
Janay D. Stevens, 33, was arrested July 19 in the area of U.S. Highway 50 and West Young Street for DWI with a person younger than 17 in the vehicle and endangering the welfare of a child after officers were dispatched in reference to a motor vehicle crash. Officers investigated the crash and determined a female driver was under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Her child was in the vehicle. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.
Alissa L. Wilkerson, 20, was arrested July 19 in the 300 block of Manor Drive for simple domestic assault after officers were dispatched to a disturbance in progress. It was reported that a male subject was being assaulted by a female subject. The known female was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.
