Odessa man hurt in Johnson County accident

An Odessa man, 20, suffered minor injuries at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, he was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox east on SW 75th Road at SW 1201st Road when he hit an unknown vehicle that had stopped for traffic.

He was wearing a seat belt, and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by private conveyance. 

Five transported after Johnson County wreck 

A Holts Summit girl, 14, suffered moderate injuries, a Holt Summit man, 19, suffered minor injuries, a Warrensburg woman, 38, suffered moderate injuries, a Warrensburg man, 49, suffered minor injuries and a Warrensburg woman, 65, suffered moderate injuries at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 31, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident happened as a 2025 Jeep Wrangler driven east on U.S. Highway 50 was slowing to turn and a Holts Summit man, 19, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse east failed to slow and struck the back of the Jeep.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt, the injured were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
