Community members may enroll in Taking Care of You, a virtual class presented by the University of Missouri Extension program that offers practical strategies for dealing with stress and life challenges.
Developed by an interdisciplinary MU Extension team, the research-based program focuses on positive psychology and mindfulness in sessions held over eight weeks.
Participants learn concepts and practical strategies they can incorporate into their everyday lives through small group discussion, self-reflection and group activities.

The class will meet from 10 a.m. to noon on Fridays via Zoom from Oct. 1 to the end of the month. Registration is available online at extension.missouri.edu/events/taking-care-of-you-online-1630524366 through Sept. 30, 2021.
The class has a $40 fee that includes a workbook.
Participants with Blue KC health insurance will have their fees waived.
