WARRENSBURG — Chief Rich Lockhart has resigned from his position with the Warrensburg
Police Department to accept the police chief role in Lawrence, Kansas.
Lockhart has served the City of Warrensburg since April 2016.
“It has been my greatest pleasure to serve as the Warrensburg Police Chief for
the past five-plus years,” Lockhart said in information from the City of Warrensburg. “Making the decision to leave Warrensburg was difficult. I will miss the men and women of the Warrensburg Police Department, my colleagues with the city, and the members of this amazing community.”
Lockhart’s last day with the WPD will be Jan. 7.
