A Whiteman Air Force Base man, 20, suffered serious injuries at 4:44 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, he was driving a 2005 Suzuki SV650s west on Missouri Route DD, east of SE 421 Road, when a 2014 Ford Focus driven east slowed for traffic and was struck by the motorcycle. The injured man was wearing a helmet, and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.
A 16-year-old female from Centerview suffered minor injuries in a three vehicle accident at 4:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10 in Johnson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway patrol, the girl was driving a Nisaan Altimata eastbound on U.S. Highway 50 west of NW 151st Road when she failed to observe a Ford F-150 driven by a 44-year-old female from Whitewamego, Kansas and a Ford Edge driven by a 35-year-old female from Oak Grove, stopped due to congestion ahead.
The Nissan struck the F-150, which was pushed into the Edge.
The 16-year-old girl was transported by personal conveyance to urgent care.
