Windsor woman injured in Johnson County accident

Peggy A. Frett, 71, of Windsor, suffered moderate injuries at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Frett was the occupant of a 2006 Toyota Tacoma driven south by Jean M. Buss, 72, of Windsor, on Route WW. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and Buss over-corrected, causing the vehicle to travel back onto the roadway and then off the opposite side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck a ditch.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts. Frett was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Two injured in Johnson County accident

Joshua A. Quiniones Ocasio, 23, of Independence, suffered moderate injuries, and Donald E. Cunningham, 34, of Smithton, suffered serious injuries at 1:48 p.m. Tuesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cunningham was driving a 2004 Pontiac Aztek south on state Route 13 and failed to slow for a 2023 Ram 2500 ProMaster van driven by Ocasio, which was making a turn.

Cunningham was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence. Ocasio was wearing a seat belt and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Sedalia man hurt in Johnson County motorcycle accident

Daniel J. Meehan, 29, of Sedalia, suffered minor injuries at 2:55 p.m. in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Meehan was driving a 2022 Honda motorcycle east on U.S. Highway 50 when he traveled off the left side of the road and overturned.

Meehan was wearing a helmet and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County Ambulance District

Independence women injured in Johnson County accident

Summer D. Miser, 26, of Independence, suffered moderate injuries at 6:29 p.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Sterling driven by Anthony D. Collins east on U.S. Highway 50 was slowing to turn onto North 121 Road when it was rear-ended by a 2012 Dodge driven by Miser.

Miser was not wearing a seat belt, and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by Johnson County Ambulance District.
