Minor injuries reported after vehicle hydroplanes

Two people are reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck April 28 on westbound Highway 50 east of Highway 13. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2000 Buick Lesabre, driven by Kenneth R. Stevens, 65, of Buckner, hydroplaned and traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, ran off the left side of the roadway, entered the median and struck an embankment, coming to rest in the median. 

Occupant Stacy R. Webb, 40, and Stevens are both reported to have minor injuries. Webb was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center. Stevens refused treatment at the scene. 

The Buick is reported to have minor damage. 

 

Minor injuries reported in April 28 wreck 

Two people are reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck April 28 on Highway 50 east of Northwest 1201 Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2019 Ford, driven by Allen D. Magbutay, 36, traveled off the roadway and struck an embankment, overturned and came to rest in the median. 

Sheila A. Jackson, 27, and Hannah M. Budd, 34, are both reported to have minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. 

The Ford is reported to be a total loss. 

 

Four people injured in May 2 wreck

Four people are reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck May 2 on Highway F south of Southwest 475th Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2008 Dodge Caravan, driven by Cinthia M. Johnson, 29, of Leeton, began to slow, struck a deer and crossed the center of the roadway. The vehicle crossed back to the right side of the roadway and came to rest in the southbound lane. 

Johnson and three juvenile occupants are reported to have minor injuries and were transported by ambulance to Western Missouri Medical Center.

 

One injured in single-vehicle wreck 

One person is reported to have minor injuries in a single-vehicle wreck May 2 in the 800 block of Southwest Highway F. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2005 Chevrolet, driven by Nicole M. Aita, 20, of Chilhowee, failed to negotiate a curve. 

Aita is reported to have minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center. 

The Chevrolet is reported to be a total loss. 

 

Minor injuries reported in May 4 wreck 

One person is reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck May 4 on Highway 13 at the Highway Business 13 roundabout. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 1998 Kenworth, driven by David R. Cole, 52, of Poplar Bluff, failed to negotiate the roundabout and traveled off the south side of the roadway and struck an embankment. 

Cole is reported to have minor injuries and refused treatment on scene. 

The Kenworth is reported to be a total loss. 

 

One injured in three-vehicle wreck May 4

One person is reported to have minor injuries from a three-vehicle wreck May 4 on Northeast 950 Road at Highway 13. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2005 Honda Accord, driven by Julie R. Gunter, 44, of Independence, failed to observe a dump truck turning onto Northeast 950 Road. The Honda traveled off the right side of the roadway through a ditch onto Northeast 950 Road and struck a 1998 Buick Lesabre, driven by Nicholas J. Stewart, 42, of Warrensburg, which struck a 2019 Dodge with no driver. 

Gunter is reported to have minor injuries and was treated on scene. 

The Buick is reported to have moderate damage. The Honda is reported to have extensive damage. The Dodge is reported to have minor damage.
