Serious injuries reported in Jan. 21 wreck
One person is reported to have serious injuries and one person is reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck Jan. 21 on Southwest 701 Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 1998 Ford, driven by Colin M. Morelock, 20, of Holden, failed to navigate a curve, went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, ran off the left side of the road, began to overturn and struck a highway sign.
Morelock is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Research Medical Center.
A juvenile occupant is reported to have minor injuries and sought own treatment.
Morelock is reported to have not worn a safety device. The juvenile is reported to have worn a safety device.
The Ford is reported to be a total loss.
MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Moderate injuries reported in Jan. 21 wreck on Highway 50
Two people are reported to have moderate injuries from a two-vehicle wreck Jan. 21 on Highway 50 near Northwest 1201 Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2013 Ford, driven by Joshua D. Lee, 27, of Kansas City, slowed to make a left turn and was struck in the rear by a 2013 Nissan, driven by Matthew V. Rogers, 33, of Warrensburg.
Lee and Rogers are both reported to have moderate injuries and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Emergency Medical Services.
Lee and Rogers are each reported to have worn a safety device.

Serious injuries reported in Jan. 24 wreck near Blackwater River
One person is reported to have serious injuries and one person is reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck Jan. 24 on the Highway 13 bypass at Blackwater River.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2002 Ford and trailer, driven by James D. Worley, 76, of Mayview, attempted to pass another vehicle, lost control, struck a guardrail and overturned.
Occupant Jacqueline A. Worley, 72, is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center.
James Worley is reported to have minor injuries and sought own treatment.
The Ford and trailer are both reported to be a total loss.
