A 62-year-old woman from Knob Noster suffered minor injuries at 5:37 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving a 2013 Mazda CX-5 and was turning from eastbound NE 600th Road into a private drive when a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze driven west by a 18-year-old man from Knob Noster began slowing to avoid a collision with the Mazda and skidded off the right side of the roadway and struck the Mazda. The Chevy then ran off the left side of a private drive and struck a fence post.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The Knob Noster woman was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
