Three transported to hospital after Johnson County accident 

A Fort Scott, Kansas man, 18, suffered minor injuries, a Hannibal man, 19, suffered minor injuries, a La Monte man, 33, suffered moderate injuries, another La Monte man, 39, suffered minor injuries, and a La Monte woman, 40, suffered minor injuries at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2012 Chrysler driven by the woman from La Monte south on Missouri Highway 23 at Route. E failed to yield to oncoming traffic and pulled into the path of a 2013 Ford driven by the Hannibal man and was struck on the driver’s side.

The teens in the Ford were wearing seat belts and refused treatment on scene, none of the occupants of the Chrysler were wearing seat belts, they were transported by Johnson County ambulance District to Western Missouri medical center in Warrensburg. 

Knob Noster motorcyclist killed in Johnson County collision

A Knob Noster man, 63, was killed at 5:23 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the man was driving a 1987 BMW K75s west on U.S. Highway 50 at Northwest 1421 Road when a 2017 GMC Acadia driven by a 35 year old Kingsville woman changed lanes, striking the motorcycle and ejecting the driver. 

He was wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead on scene by Johnson County Corner Clark Holdren.

Kingsville woman hurt in Johnson County mishap

A Kingsville driver, 62, suffered minor injuries at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 21, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Captive Sport north on NW 1821 Road, south of NW 50 Road, when she left the left side of the roadway, struck a mailbox and a ditch. 

She was wearing a seat belt, and was transported to Western Missouri medical center in Warrensburg by patrol vehicle.
