Serious injuries in April 3 wreck

Serious injuries were reported in a two-vehicle wreck on April 3 on eastbound Highway 50.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 1995 Ford LA 9000 driven by Paul A. Dillon, 62, of Holden, failed to yield at the intersection and pulled into the path of a 2007 Honda Accord driven by John L. Herrera, 56, of Kansas City, striking the side of the vehicle.

Herrera is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by the Johnson County Ambulance District.

Occupants Yvette J. Herrera, 52, and a juvenile, of Kansas City, were reported to have moderate injuries and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by JCAD.

Minor injuries reported in April 3 wreck

Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle wreck on Business Highway 13 at Southeast 150 Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by Erica D. Plets, 32, of Warrensburg, struck a 1995 Toyota Camry driven by Nicholas E. Wilson, 38, of Warrensburg, while stopped behind a turning vehicle.

Plets is reported to have minor injuries and was transported to WMMC by JCAD.

Wilson is reported to have minor injuries and refused treatment on the scene.

Vehicle totaled in April 4 wreck

Minor injuries were reported in a single-vehicle wreck on April 4.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Tyler W. Potts, 21, of Warrensburg, swerved to avoid another crash and traveled off the road, struck a delineator post, a ditch and overturned.

Potts is reported to have minor injuries and was transported to WMMC by JCAD.

Minor injuries in single-vehicle wreck

Minor injuries were reported in a single-vehicle wreck on April 4 on northeast Highway 50.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2019 Honda Fit driven by Yi Ge, 35, of Warrensburg, traveled off the left side of the road, overcorrected and traveled off the left side of the road, striking a ditch.

Ge is reported to have minor injuries and was transported to WMMC by JCAD.

Minor injuries in two-vehicle wreck

Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle wreck on April 4 on Highway 13.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2019 Kia Nitro driven by Anita V. Cooley, 50, of Higginsville, slowed to make a turn and a 2012 Ford Focus driven by Hannah G. Hawthorne, 18, of Blue Springs, attempted to overtake the Kia, causing the Ford to strike the Kia.

Hawthorne and Cooley were reported to have minor injuries and were transported to WMMC by JCAD.
