Two injured in April 22 wreck

One person is reported to have minor injuries and one person is reported to have moderate injuries from a single-vehicle wreck April 22 on Route W south of Northwest 450th Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2009 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Eli A. Vanatta, 19, of Pleasant Hill, began to brake, crossed the centerline and began to skid, traveling off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, struck two trees and a fence. 

Vanatta is reported to have minor injuries and refused medical treatment on scene.

The MSHP reports it is unknown if Vannatta wore a safety device. 

Occupant Cole J. Stauch, 21, of Kingsville, is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center. 

Stauch is reported to have worn a safety device. 

The Chevrolet is reported to be a total loss. 

Moderate injuries reported in single-vehicle wreck 

One person is reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck April 22 in the 400 block of Southeast 251st Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2017 Ford Expedition, driven by Miyawadee Luker, 42, of Warrensburg, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck the ditch twice and overturned. 

Luker is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center. 

The MSHP reports it is unknown if Luker wore a safety device. 

The Ford is reported to be a total loss. 

Minor injuries reported in two-vehicle wreck 

Two people are reported to have minor injuries from a two-vehicle wreck April 25 on northbound Highway 13 north of Highway 50. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2004 Harley Davidson, driven by Kennith M. Schneider, 68, of Sedalia, slowed for a stop and a 2020 Indian, driven by John H. Spitler, 35, of Knob Noster, failed to yield and struck the rear of the Harley Davidson. 

Spitler is reported to have minor injuries and received treatment on scene. 

Occupant Kelli K. Schneider, 55, of Sedalia, is reported to have minor injuries and received treatment on scene. 

Spitler is reported to have not worn a safety device. 

Kennith and Kelli Schneider are reported to have worn a safety device. 

The Indian is reported to have minor damage and was driven from the scene. The Harley Davidson is reported to have minor damage and was towed from the scene. 

Moderate injuries reported in April 25 wreck

One person is reported to have moderate injuries from a single-vehicle wreck April 25 on northbound Highway 13 south of 1250 Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2021 Harley Davidson, driven by Cody J. Postlethwait, 24, of Blue Springs,  was traveling through a curve, lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the right side of the road. 

Postlethwait is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by private vehicle. 

Postlethwait is reported to have worn a safety device. 

The Harley Davidson is reported to have minor damage. 

Minor injuries reported in single-vehicle wreck

One person is reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck April 23 on Highway 50 at Northwest 1601st Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2016 Ford Fiesta, driven by Cassidy A. Macintosh, 22, of Warrensburg, struck a deer and came to rest in the roadway. 

Macintosh is reported to have minor injuries and was transported by a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office deputy to Western Missouri Medical Center. 

The Ford is reported to be a total loss.
