Warrensburg Farmers’ Market events taking place through August

Posted

WARRENSBURG — The Warrensburg Farmers’ Market has a number of different events planned for the remainder of the summer season.

July 17 will be the Emoji Day at the Market. This will be a day all about social media and how to better connect with each other. Farmers’ Market staff and vendors will help advance attendees’ knowledge of social media.

On July 24, the market will host the Non-profit Weekend or Play-it-Forward. The market encourages those who want to do more for their community to come out and take a look at all the different non-profits in attendance and sign up for one.

Christmas in July, an Artisan Day, takes place on July 31. The market invites all the artisans in the area to come out and set up booths to sell the products they have made. To sign up and for rules and regulations, visit the Warrensburg Main Street website.

The August market will start off with Missouri’s 200th Birthday Party where the market invites all to come to the market for giveaways and specials.

Customer Appreciation Day takes place the following week.

After that, the market will have back to school week for attendees to see all the goodies that are featured at market booths.

The last event in August will be Doggy Day for attendees to bring their dogs. The Warrensburg Farmers’ Market is the only farmers’ market in the Kansas City area that welcomes all dogs.

The information tent is located at the corner West Market and Holden streets, where attendees can get information about the market, purchase market merchandise or chat with Monica Mitcheltree, the market manager.

The Farmers’ Market takes place from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday around the Johnson County Courthouse Square rain or shine until the end of September.

The Farmers’ Market has doubled in size this summer and has over 30 vendors signed up

for the 2021 season. Vendors have an array of farm-fresh foods, handmade products and baked goods.
