WARRENSBURG — The U.S. Small Business Administration’s National Small Business Week is traditionally recognized as the first week in May each year.
The Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce will be participating in Small Business Week from May 3-7.
The chamber will have employees and volunteers visit area small businesses, both chamber and non-chamber members, with small treats to thank them for being a part of the Warrensburg community.
Chamber member businesses will also be featured on the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce Facebook page during Small Business Week.
According to the SBA, more than half of Americans either own or work for a small business and small businesses create about two-thirds of new jobs in the U.S. each year.
The Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce has been celebrating Small Business Week since 2010 to recognize area small businesses and to emphasize the importance of having these unique goods and services in the community.
