Vendor registration open for Get the Red Out

Posted

WARRENSBURG — The annual University of Central Missouri Get the Red Out street fair for students and employees along with families from across the community is planned for 4 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 2.

While Get the Red Out was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, it is back for the 16th year.

True to tradition, thousands of people are expected to turn out to help the university celebrate the start of the new academic year and to show their UCM spirit.

The event takes place the same day the Mules play their first home football game of the fall 2021 semester.

UCM and the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce team up for this special afternoon of activities at Holden Street, between South and Clark streets.

Get the Red Out includes food, music and games for kids; participation by dozens of local organizations and vendors; hoop shooting with the Mules and Jennies basketball teams and more.

The football game begins at 7 p.m. at Audrey J. Walton Stadium with the Mules taking on the Pittsburg State Gorillas at Audrey J. Walton Stadium/Vernon Kennedy Field.

For game tickets, visit ucmathletics.com or ucmtickets.universitytickets.com. Additional opportunities to obtain tickets are available in person 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at Multipurpose Building 101, or by calling 660-543-4063.

Get the Red Out is open to businesses, profit/nonprofit organizations, student organizations and others who would like to share information about their business, product, organization or project. Vendor registration is now open and the booth registration form can be found at ucmo.edu/gtro.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to evolve and the impact on UCM is being monitored continually by the university. The well-being of all UCM faculty, staff, students and visitors is a priority and the institution will make any adjustments as necessary to respond to evolving circumstances.
