WARRENSBURG — U.S. Bank representatives presented a $10,000 check to the Johnson County Economic Development Corporation in support of JCEDC’s program of work.
U.S. Bank Assistant Vice President MaryBeth Martin and business banking specialists Josh Beebe and Jamie List presented the check to JCEDC President Taylor Elwell and Director Tracy Brantner.
With more than 60 volunteers and partners, JCEDC’s mission is to lead economic development initiatives, facilitate community alignment and assist groups and individuals in their pursuit of local development opportunities to increase the county’s economic prosperity.
JCEDC works to positively affect business development, placemaking, entrepreneurship, talent development and regionalism and, in doing so, promote the economic health of Johnson County, the Central Missouri region and the state of Missouri.
“We support JCEDC and its volunteers for all their efforts to improve the economic well-being of our bank customers and their families in the Johnson County area,” Martin said. “U.S. Bank has been a financial partner in economic development for the region for more than 12 consecutive years. This foundation of support has enabled both organizations to continue to achieve mutually benefiting economic goals.”
“Economic development impacts not only opportunities to work, but all aspects of life in our region,” Elwell said. “The financial support from U.S. Bank allows JCEDC to assist and serve Johnson County communities, business and industry, and individuals.”
By partnering with organizations that focus on economic and workforce advancement, the U.S. Bank Foundation Community Possible Grant Program specifically supports causes that create stable jobs, better homes and vibrant communities. In 2020, the U.S. Bank Foundation provided $37 million in grant funding, matching gifts, and dollars for doing contributions.
