Two injured in three-vehicle wreck March 10

One person is reported to have serious injuries and one person is reported to have minor injuries from a three-vehicle wreck March 10 on Highway 58 west of Southwest 300th Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by a 17-year-old of Kingsville, made a left turn from a driveway into the path of a 2013 Ford F150, driven by Dewayne A. Corbin, 64, of Kingsville, traveling in the westbound lanes of Highway 58. The F150 struck the Ram. A 2008 Dodge, driven by Christopher C. Spiwak, 51, of Kansas City, was behind the F150 and swerved off the roadway, struck a pole and came to rest off the roadway. 

The juvenile is reported to have minor injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center. Corbin is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City. 

The juvenile and Spiwak are reported to have worn a safety device. The MSHP reports it is unknown if Corbin wore a safety device. 

The Ram is reported to be a total loss. The 2008 Dodge is reported to have moderate damage. The F150 is reported to have extensive damage. 

The MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department.
