Macy M. Sherrer, 21, was arrested on June 2 for driving while intoxicated. An officer conducted a traffic stop on a female subject in a vehicle near Washington and West Market Street for a stop sign violation. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where she was booked and released with a signed city summons.

Robert A. Elliot, 35, and Jeremy K. Smith, 33, were arrested on June 2 for shoplifting from a business in the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard. The business stated that two male subjects had shoplifted and were currently detained. Both male subjects were arrested for shoplifting, and Elliot was also arrested for trespassing. They were transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where they were booked and released with a signed city summons.

Patricia N. Moore, 44, was arrested on June 3 for forgery, stealing and drug paraphernalia after she stole nine different times from a business in the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard between May 8 and May 15. She was arrested at her home and was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where she was booked and released pending state charges.

Hector Acevedo Jr., 47, and Dana S. Metcalf, 38, were arrested on June 4 for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and drug trafficking. Officers, deputies and troopers served a search warrant at a property in the 700 block of East Market Street in reference to a wanted male subject being inside. The male subject was located, and consent to search for narcotics was gained. Narcotics were seized inside and two subjects were placed under arrest. Both subjects were transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where they were booked and subsequently transferred to the Johnson County Jail staff.

Shannon Benavidez, 45, was arrested on June 5 for trespassing and property damage at a business in the 100 block of West Young Street. It was reported that she had entered a vehicle on the property and was still located inside. Officers arrived and placed the female subject under arrest. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the female subject had an active warrant out of Illinois. She was transported to the Johnson County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold for her fugitive out-of-state warrant.

Paul D. Knifong, 62, was arrested on June 6 for unlawful possession of a firearm. An officer stopped Knifong’s vehicle for a stoplight violation in the 1000 block of South Maguire Street. After a search was conducted, he was arrested. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released pending state charges.

Harold C. Morgan, 75, was arrested on June 6 for a dog running at large in the 900 block of Deer Run. An individual reported to an officer that a dog from a neighboring house quickly approached her and her dog and incurred some minor injuries from the encounter. The officer spoke with the owner of the other dog and explained the Warrensburg leash requirements. He was issued a summons on the scene for an animal at large.

Erica H. Shaw, 50, was arrested on June 7 for trespassing, obstruction and resisting arrest at a business in the 300 block of North Maguire Street. It was determined that she was refusing to leave the premises and was subsequently arrested for obstruction. She resisted officer commands and was causing harm to both herself and LEOs. She was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by the Johnson County Ambulance District and was released to medical staff.

Sheila L. Brown, 43, and Briana M. Bell, 33, were arrested on June 7 for a public affray. An officer reported to a church in the 100 block of East Gay Street and learned that two known female subjects were arguing and fighting under an overhang. Both subjects confessed they had spat on each other, so they were cited on the scene for public affray.

Joel M. Kirk, 45, was arrested on June 8 for property damage in the 700 block of East Culton Street. An individual known stated that a male subject damaged her vehicle by striking it with a hammer. The male subject was later located and arrested for property damage. The male subject was also determined to have multiple felony warrants for his arrest. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail, where he was placed in lieu of bond.
