MoDOT announces area maintenance work for June 3-7

The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from June 3-7. All work is weather permitting.

JOHNSON COUNTY

U.S. Highway 50 eastbound bridge over Bear Creek: lane closures from about 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, June 3 for surface leveling.

Missouri Highway 13 at various locations: flagging operations from approximately 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day for surface leveling. Tuesday, June 4: approximately 0.2 miles south of U.S. 50; Wednesday, June 5: approximately 1 mile south of U.S. 50; and Thursday, June 6: approximately 2 miles south of Route DD.

Missouri Highway 58 at various locations: flagging operations throughout the week for patching work.

Missouri Highway 131 at various locations: flagging operations throughout the week for patching work.

PETTIS COUNTY

Route NN between Missouri Highway 127 and Johnson County line: full closure from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 and Thursday, June 6 for pavement repair work.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
