Missouri SBDC to host Business Recovery, Resiliency, Growth training

Posted

The Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at State Fair Community College will host, at no cost, a one-hour training that addresses and focuses on risk mitigation, unexpected disruptions and planning needed for business sustainability and success. Business Recovery, Resiliency and Growth will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 14.

This training is available only for residents in Johnson, Pettis, Saline, and Lafayette counties. Participants may attend on-site in Fielding Center 253 on the Sedalia campus or online via a Zoom link. Registration is required, and seating is limited. For those who choose to participate via Zoom, the link will be provided after registration.

In times of crisis and uncertainty, such as a pandemic, small businesses must remain agile and proactive in decision-making to ensure long-term stability and recovery. Participants will learn how to identify key resources, employees, goals, and threats. How to plan for impacts and threats and how to implement the plan and recovering strategies will be covered.

Darren Grove, Certified Business Resiliency Manager, is the featured consultant. He has an MBA from University of Oklahoma/Price College of Business.

To register, participants can go to www.sfccmo.edu/thelearningforce; select Schedule of Courses link; and locate the SBDC schedule on the webpage. People also may contact Kelly Asbury, SBDC director, at kasbury1@sfccmo.edu or 660-596-7350.
