In correlation with Warrensburg Main Street’s Downtown Beautification, the City of Warrensburg Spring Clean Up and the annual event of Earth Day, the Love What’s Local Committee is declaring a Spring Clean the Burg from April 22 to April 29.
This week-long event’s purpose is to encourage community volunteerism and to spruce up the town for the spring season.
Residents, families, community groups, businesses, churches and teenagers who need to perform service hours can seek out projects and implement them during this time. Love What’s Local will not be assigning specific projects, but can suggest areas needing improvement.
The Love What’s Local Committee deemed the Clean the Burg event in the fall of 2020 a success with more than 15 groups participating in different clean-up projects including highway, roadway and parking lot clean-ups, train depot cleaning, weed pulling, landscaping and painting of buildings.
