Allison Kates and Quentin Means, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, have announced they are engaged to be married.
The wedding is set for 5 p.m. Oct. 9, 2021, in Waterloo, Wisconsin.
Kates is the daughter of Bob and Anna Kates, of Petaluma, California.
Kates attended Casa Grande High School in Petaluma, California, and has a bachelor’s degree in media, communications and arts from Pace University and a master’s degree in education administration from Arizona State University.
Kates is a special education teacher at Streamwood High School
Means is the son of Mark and Joanne Means, of Pleasant Hill.
Means attended Warrensburg High School and has a Bachelor of Science in aviation professional pilot with a minor in business from Kansas State University and is working to complete a master’s degree in aviation safety.
