JCEDC to host micro-internship webinar

Posted

Johnson County Economic Development Corporation is hosting a free webinar to explain micro-internships for small businesses and nonprofits at noon Wednesday, March 24.

Micro-internships are short-term, professional projects that typically require between 10-40 hours of work by the college student or recent grad and are due within a few days to a few weeks.

The projects are designed to help give individuals another set of hands for short-term projects and students/recent graduates gain professional experience.

Parker Dewey created the Micro-Internship over five years ago and has been supporting thousands of organizations in connecting to students and graduates nationwide.

Through their model, Dewey handles all of the payroll, HR and other admin so that they can focus on other tasks.

During the webinar, attendees will learn examples of micro-internships, logistics on posting project, best practices for working with a student, and how to get started.

Register to join JCEDC and Dewey for this no-cost webinar at info.parkerdewey.com/jocomo-webinar.
