Free COVID-19 testing to take place Jan. 18

Posted

WARRENSBURG ━ The Katy Trail Community Health will offer free COVID-19 testing from 1 to 7 p.m. Jan. 18 at Northside Christian Church, 500 N. Ridgeview Dr., Warrensburg.

While registration guarantees testing, walk-ins to the event will be accommodated if registration slots are still available.

Missouri residency is the only requirement; individuals do not have to live in the county in which they are tested, and they do not have to be experiencing symptoms.

This is part of the partnership with MO DHSS, Missouri Community Health Centers and MAKO Medical.

The test is a PCR test done by a mid-nasal swab to determine the presence of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. This is not an antigen or antibody test.

Register at mako.exchange/splash/MOmakotesting/.

For assistance, call 919-351-MAKO (6256). Please double-check the spelling of your name and your date of birth. This information must be exactly correct to receive your results.

Upon completing the registration, an email will be sent with a QR Code and booking ID number. Show this QR Code and booking ID number to the site attendant in order to proceed with the test. Each person who registers must have their own email address.

It is recommended to allow at least 30 minutes for completion of testing upon arrival to the testing site.
