Gabrella Elliott, of Auburn, Alabama, and Benjamin Bates, of Houma, Louisiana, have announced they are to be wed at 2 p.m. Feb. 1, 2022, in Lee’s Summit.
Elliott is the daughter of Robin and Jia Elliott, of Knob Noster. Bates is the son of Dennis and Kristi Bates, of Blue Springs.
Elliott is a graduate of Cabrillo High School. She has a bachelor's degree in Fisheries and Wildlife from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences from Auburn University. She works as a research assistant at Auburn University.
Bates is a graduate of Blue Springs South High, Metropolitan Community College of Kansas City-Longview, University of Missouri and Nicholls State University. He works at Nicholls State University and Lowe’s.
