Serious, minor injuries reported in Oct. 29 wreck
One person is reported to have serious injuries and one person is reported to have minor injuries from a two-vehicle wreck Oct. 29 on Highway 50 and Northwest 1501 Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2017 Dodge Journey, driven by Jason J. Ontiveros, 28, of Warrensburg, attempted to cross Highway 50 and struck a 2000 Dodge Ram, driven by Ronald W. Ward, 79, of Kingsville.
Ward is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Research Medical Center by Johnson County Ambulance District.
Ontiveros is reported to have minor injuries and was treated and released on the scene.
Ontiveros is reported to have worn a safety device.
The MSHP reports it is unknown if Ward wore a safety device.
Both vehicles are reported to be a total loss.

Minor injuries reported in Oct. 31 wreck
One person is reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck Oct. 31 on Highway 13 at Route E.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2018 Dodge Journey, driven by Erin N. Walker, 25, of Warrensburg, failed to stop at a stop sign, traveled across Highway 13 and off the roadway and struck a ditch.
Walker is reported to have minor injuries and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center.
Walker is reported to have worn a safety device.
The Dodge is reported to have moderate damage.

Moderate injuries reported in two-vehicle wreck Oct. 31
One person is reported to have moderate injuries from a two-vehicle wreck Oct. 31 on westbound Highway 50 at Northwest 1601 Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2016 Honda Accord, driven by Amy S. Sandy, 46, of Osceola, failed to yield and struck a 2006 GMC 2500, driven by Kaleb E. Young, 30, of Kingsville.
Sandy is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center.
Sandy and Young are reported to have worn a safety device.
The Honda is reported to be a total loss. The GMC is reported to have extensive damage.

MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Serious injuries reported in Oct. 31 wreck
One person is reported to have serious injuries from a single-vehicle wreck Oct. 31 in the 600 block of southeast Highway 23.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2020 Chrysler, driven by Lauren M. West, 32, of Windsor, ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
West is reported to have serious injuries and was transported by life flight to Truman University Health Center.
West is reported to have worn a safety device.
The Chrysler is reported to be a total loss.
MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Minor injuries reported in three-vehicle wreck Nov. 1
Two people are reported to have minor injuries from a wreck involving three vehicles Nov. 1 in the 800 block of northwest Highway Z.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2015 Toyota Camry, driven by John G. Olivia, 70, of Kansas City, did not observe a stopped 2011 Honda Ridgeline, driven by Edna M. Stone, 52, of Oak Grove. The Toyota struck the Honda which was then struck by a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by Donald L. Finley, 49, of Independence.
Stone and a juvenile occupat of the Honda are reported to have minor injuries and sought their own treatment.
The Honda and Toyota are reported to be a total loss. The Dodge is reported to have moderate damage.
All drivers and the occupant are reported to have worn a safety device.

Moderate injuries, arrest reported in Nov. 1 wreck
Samuel E. Winter, 28, of Lee’s Summit, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated - controlled substance following a two-vehicle wreck Nov. 1 on westbound Highway 50 at Northwest 251 Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2017 Nissan Titan, driven by Bryan K.Goin, 40, of Overland Park, Kansas, slowed and the Nissan’s tow unit was struck by a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Winter. Both vehicles traveled off the roadway, the tow unit struck a highway sign and the Nissan overturned.
Winter is reported to have moderate injuries.
Winter and Goin are reported to have worn a safety device.
The Chevrolet is reported to be a total loss. The Nissan is reported to have minor damage.
