Vehicle leaves scene of April 28 wreck
One person is reported to have minor injuries from a two-vehicle wreck April 28 on Highway 13 south of Northwest 875 Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol states the wreck occurred when an unknown vehicle crossed the center of the roadway and struck a 2016 Freightliner, driven by Terry L. Bickford, 38, of Shannon City, Iowa. The unknown vehicle left the scene of the collision.
Bickford is reported to have minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. Bickford is reported to have worn a safety device.
The Freightliner is reported to have moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
Windsor resident dies in Johnson County crash
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a Windsor resident died April 30 in an incident involving a 1995 Jeep Wrangler.
MSHP reports the incident occurred as Ronald W. Johnson, 76, of Windsor, exited the vehicle in the 1200 block of Highway WW, fell and the vehicle traveled over Johnson.
Johnson was pronounced at the scene by Johnson County Deputy Coroner Michael Coleman.
The Jeep is reported to have no damage.
Serious injuries reported in April 30 wreck
Three people are reported to have serious injuries from a single-vehicle wreck April 30 on Highway 2 east of Southwest 351 Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 1997 Peterbilt 379, driven by Mitchel W. Chrisenberry, 66, of Leeton, crossed the center of the roadway, traveled off the south side of the road and struck an embankment and fence, continued west off the south side of the road and through a creek and came to rest facing west.
Chrisenberry and occupants Rodney E. Lemen, 53, of Leeton, and David S. Harris, 55, of Chilhowee, are all reported to have serious injuries and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by private vehicle.
Lemen and Harris are reported to have not worn a safety device. Chrisenberry is reported to have worn a safety device.
The Peterbilt is reported to have extensive damage.
