One injured in May 7 wreck 

One person is reported to have moderate injuries from a single-vehicle wreck May 7 on Southeast 30th Road east of Southeast 501st Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2012 Polaris, driven by Charles L. Williams, 40, of Knob Noster, turned east from a private drive onto Southeast 30th Road and began making a U-turn causing the vehicle to overturn. Williams was ejected and an occupant was partially ejected from the vehicle. 

The juvenile occupant is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center. 

The Polaris is reported to have minor damage. 

One injured in a single-vehicle wreck May 8

One person is reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck May 8 on Highway 2 east of Southwest 1551 Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2001 Chevrolet, driven by John J. Knowles, 28, of Appleton City, slid off the roadway and struck a tree. 

Knowles is reported to have minor injuries and was checked by Emergency Medical Services on scene and was not transported. 

Knowles is reported to have worn a safety device. 

The Chevrolet is reported to be a total loss. 

Warrensburg resident injured in single-vehicle wreck

One person is reported to have moderate injuries from a single-vehicle wreck May 8 on Southeast 201st Road at Southeast 250th Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2006 Harley-Davidson, driven by Robert P. Lambert, 65, of Warrensburg, failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the road. The vehicle began to overturn and came to rest off the road. 

Lambert is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by the Johnson County Ambulance District. 

The Harley-Davidson is reported to have moderate damage. 

Lambert is reported to have not worn a safety device. 

The MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. 

One fatality reported in May 8 wreck

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a fatal crash occurred May 8 on Highway 13 north of Henry County Northwest 1400 Road. 

The MSHP reports the wreck occurred when a 2013 Harley-Davidson, driven by Donald R. Rowe, 74, of Warrensburg, traveled off the left side of the road, overturned, ejected the driver and struck a fence. 

Rowe was pronounced on scene by Johnson County Coroner Clark Holdren. 

The Harley-Davidson is reported to be a total loss. 

Rowe is reported to have not worn a safety device. 

The MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. 

Serious, minor injuries reported in single-vehicle wreck 

Two people are reported to have serious injuries and one person is reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck May 10 on Route BB west of Southwest 21st Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Michael W. Ford, 52, of Knob Noster was traveling eastbound of Route BB and an unknown vehicle was traveling westbound on Route BB in the eastbound lanes. The Jeep swerved to avoid a head-on collision with the unknown vehicle and traveled off the roadway, struck a ditch, overturned and struck a tree. The unknown vehicle did not stop and remains unknown. 

Ford is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center. 

Occupant Trisha L. Enarson, 47, of Knob Noster is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center. 

Occupant Richard G. Younce, 63, is reported to have minor injuries and refused transport to a hospital. 

Ford, Enarson and Younce are all reported to have not worn a safety device.
