Moderate injuries reported in June 20 wreck

Moderate injuries were reported from a single-vehicle wreck on June 20 in the 1800 block of Northwest 2 Highway.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the wreck occurred when a 2008 Nissan, driven by Merissa R. Bailey, 22, of Warrensburg, swerved to avoid striking an object in the road, traveled off the left side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned. 

Bailey is reported to have moderate injuries.

Bailey is reported to have worn a safety device.

The Nissan is reported to be a total loss.

Moderate injuries reported in June 22 wreck

Moderate injuries were reported from a two-vehicle wreck on June 22 on westbound U.S. 50 Highway. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the wreck occurred when a 1995 Honda Civic, driven by David M. Carrender, 52, of Sweet Springs, traveled off the left side of the roadway, causing a 2003 Ford Taurus, driven by Melissa T. Collins, 46, of Holden, to overcorrect and strike a rock wall. 

Collins is reported to have moderate injuries. Carrender is reported to have no injuries.

Both Collins and Carrender are reported to have worn a safety device.

The Ford is reported to have minor damage. The Honda is reported to be a total loss. 

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office assisted MSHP. 

Moderate injuries reported in June 23 wreck

Moderate injuries were reported from a single-vehicle wreck on June 23 on state Route F at Southwest 1000 Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the wreck occurred when a 2003 Mitsubishi, driven by Krystal M. Aita, 37, of Chilhowee, swerved to miss an animal in the roadway. 

Aita is reported to have moderate injuries. 

Aita is reported to have worn a safety device.

The Mitsubishi is reported to have moderate damage. 

Minor injuries reported in June 24 wreck

Minor injuries were reported from a single-vehicle wreck on June 24 on U.S. Highway 50 at County Road Northeast 501.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the wreck occurred when a 2010 Infiniti G37 was fleeing an officer and sideswiped a traffic sign after traveling offroad. The vehicle then struck an embankment and went airborne, traveling southbound and lost control. 

The report did not list the driver’s name.

Jesse E. Delaney, 40, of Kansas City, an occupant in the vehicle, is reported to have minor injuries.

It is unknown if Delaney wore a safety device.

The Infiniti is reported to be a total loss.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Department assisted the MSHP.
