Minor injuries reported in June 10 wreck 

One person is reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck June 10 on Highway DD west of Southeast 421 Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by Hunter R. Reed, 18, of Warrensburg, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned. 

Reed is reported to have minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center. 

Reed is reported to have worn a safety device. 

The Chevrolet is reported to be a total loss. 

Moderate injuries reported in June 10 wreck on Highway 23

Two people are reported to have moderate injuries from a single-vehicle wreck June 10 in the 1100 block of Northeast Highway 23. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by Timmothy G. Rhoton, 35, of Knob Noster, hydroplaned, spun, struck a ditch and overturned several times before coming to rest. 

Occupant Veronica L. Dobbs, 34, is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center. Rhoton is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported by JCAD to WMMC. 

Rhoton and Dobbs are each reported to have worn a safety device. 

The Dodge is reported to be a total loss. 

Serious injuries, arrest reported in June 10 wreck

One person is reported to have serious injuries from a single-vehicle wreck June 10 in the 1200 block of Northeast 75th Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by Lee G. Thomas, 47, of Knob Noster, traveled off the right side of the roadway, into a creek and struck a tree. 

Thomas is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center. 

Thomas is reported to have worn a safety device. 

Thomas was later arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. 

The Dodge is reported to have extensive damage. 

MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. 

Serious injuries, arrest reported in June 11 wreck 

One person is reported to have serious injuries from a single-vehicle wreck June 11 at Southwest 800 Road at Southwest 600th Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2021 Tracker 700eps, driven by Michael D. McDonald, 30, of Grain Valley, struck a dirt mound and overturned, ejecting the driver. 

McDonald is reported to have serious injuries and was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City. 

McDonald is reported to have not worn a safety device. 

McDonald was later arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. 

MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
