Man from Whiteman Air Force Base injured in Johnson County crash

Mark A. Castaneda, 28, from Whiteman Air Force Base, suffered moderate injuries, and Haley L. Hetrick, 23, of Independence suffered minor injuries at 6:44 p.m. Friday, July 5, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, both vehicles were traveling eastbound on US 50 at Route AA when the 2017 Ford Focus driven by Hetrick began to make a left turn and was struck by Castaneda's BMW Z4.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, Hetrick had minor injuries and refused medical treatment, Castaneda was transported by EMS to Western Missouri medical center in Warrensburg.

17-year-old pedestrian from Knob Noster seriously injured by ATV

A 17-year-old female from Knob Noster suffered serious injuries at 7:05 p.m. Friday, July 5, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the pedestrian ran into the roadway and into the path of a 1984 Suzuki 4 wheel ATV driven west the 800 block of SE 425th Road and was hit by a 15-year-old girl from Knob Noster.

She was transported by Johnson County ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Warrensburg woman suffers minor injuries in Johnson County accident

Terra C. Brady, 24, of Warrensburg suffered minor injuries at 1:09 a.m. Sunday, July 7, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Nathan C. Hargett, 26, of Warrensburg was driving a 2011 Chrysler 300 west on Southwest 400th Road when he traveled off of the right side of the roadway, through a ditch, struck a culvert, returned to the road and came to rest.

Hargett was not wearing a seat belt, Brady was and was transported by Johnson County ambulance district to Western Missouri medical center in Warrensburg.
