Springfield woman injured in Johnson County accident

A 41-year-old woman from Springfield suffered moderate injuries at 6:58 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta north on Missouri Route 13 when she traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence.

The driver was wearing a seat belt and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Raytown man hurt in Johnson County pile up

A 53-year-old man from Raytown suffered minor injuries at 5:25 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the man was an occupant in a 2012 Ford Transit van driven west on U.S. Highway 50 by a 29-year-old Lee's Summit man.

The crash occurred when a 2018 Ford Taurus driven by a 60-year-old female from Holden slowed to make a left turn and was rear-ended and a 2006 Ford Expedition driven by a 37-year-old male from Kansas City slowed and was struck by the Transit van, pushing the Expedition into the Taurus.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt. The injured Raytown woman was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by Johnson County Ambulance District.

Two transported after Johnson County collision

A 43-year-old woman from Warrensburg suffered moderate injuries, and a 72-year-old man from Centerview suffered minor injuries at 6:01 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the man was driving a 2018 GMC Sierra west on U.S. Highway 50 at Route M when he slowed to make a turn and was rear-ended by a 2017 Subaru Outback driven by the Warrensburg woman.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The woman was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, the man was transported by private conveyance to the same hospital.

Brake failure injures two in Johnson County accident

A 17-year-old male from Centerview suffered moderate injuries and a 49-year-old male from Holden suffered my moderate injuries at 4:06 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2005 GMC driven by the 17-year-old attempted to slow for traffic when his brakes failed and he swerved into westbound lanes to avoid a collision with a stopped vehicle, striking the 2000 Ford F-250 driven by the Holden man head on.

Neither driver was wearing a seat belt. The 17-year-old was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, the Holden man was transported to Western Missouri hospital in Warrensburg.
