Liberty motorcyclist injured in Johnson County mishap 

A Liberty man, 64, suffered moderate injuries at 5:20 p.m. Monday, June 9, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, he was driving a 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 north on Missouri Highway 13 at the Business 13 roundabout when he crossed the center line and entered the roundabout in the wrong direction. The vehicle turned over and slid on its left side and the driver was ejected.

He was not wearing a helmet and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence. 

Knob Noster 4-year-old seriously injured in Johnson County ATV accident

A 4-year-old boy from Knob Noster suffered serious injuries at 7:56 p.m. Monday, June 9, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 9-year-old boy from Knob Noster was driving a 1993 Honda FourTrax four wheeler east on NE 500 Road, east of Rt. M, when he hit a pothole and his passenger was ejected. 

The 4-year-old was not wearing a safety device and was transported to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City by Johnson County Ambulance District.
