Holden teen hurt in Johnson County crash

A 17-year-old girl from Holden suffered minor injuries at 8:34 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the teen was driving a 2006 Ford south on Route Z when she traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a group of trees.

She was wearing a seat belt, and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to St. Luke's East Hospital in Lee’s Summit.

Two transported after Johnson County rollover

A 27-year-old man from Chula suffered moderate injuries, and a 33-year-old man from Chula suffered serious injuries at 7:59 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the 27-year-old man was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado was southbound on Missouri Highway 13 at the Blackwater River when he attempted to pass an unknown vehicle and began to fishtail.

The Silverado traveled off the right side of the roadway and began overturning, ejecting the driver and coming to rest on an embankment.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center. The occupant was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Centerpoint as well.
