Moderate injuries reported in Dec. 27 wreck
One person is reported to have moderate injuries from a single-vehicle wreck Dec. 27 in the 200 block of Northeast 191st Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2019 Polaris, driven by a minor, slid on a curve and the vehicle overturned.
The juvenile is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
The juvenile is reported to have worn a safety device.
The Polaris is reported to have minor damage.
MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
Moderate injuries reported in Dec. 28
One person is reported to have moderate injuries from a two-vehicle wreck Dec. 28 in the 500 block of Northeast Highway 13.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer, driven by Daniel R. Evans, 23, of Whiteman Air Force Base, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Ginger M. Matthews, 75, of Warrensburg.
Matthews is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center.
Evans and Matthews are both reported to have worn a safety device.
The Mitsubishi and Chevrolet are both reported to be a total loss.
