Centerview man injured in Dec. 28 crash
A Centerview man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 1:31 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28 on eastbound U.S. Highway 50 just east of Northwest 135 Road.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jeffrey G. Helmich, 52, was driving a 2018 Hyundai Sonata east on U.S. Highway 50 when he passed out. The vehicle traveled off the road and struck a tree.
Helmich, who was wearing a seat belt, refused medical treatment at the scene.
The vehicle sustained extensive damage.
MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Fire Department.
