Posted

WARRENSBURG — While celebrating Homecoming Week at the University of Central Missouri, campus members and other interested individuals can celebrate the gift of life by donating blood.

The drive will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 18-19, at the ballroom of the Elliott Student Union.

The theme of the drive is“Give Mo’, Give Blood” and is hosted through the Community Blood Center.

The drive will feature Kansas City Chiefs t-shirt giveaways and opportunities to win prizes.

Perspective donors are encouraged by event organizers to register prior to the event at savealifenow.org. Searching using the group name, University of Central Missouri, accesses the schedule to reserve a donation time.

Fliers and posters also have been distributed on campus that offer a QR code that can be scanned to make an appointment.

Walk-ins will be accepted depending on the volume of participation.

All registered participants will receive a free Chiefs t-shirt, and will be entered into a drawing that includes prizes such as Chiefs game tickets and two pizza/bowling parties for six at the UCM Bowling Center.

Face coverings/masks are required to be worn, regardless of vaccination status.
