Several local organizations joined together for a Juneteenth Festival on Saturday, June 17. The City of Warrensburg Diversity and Inclusion Commission, Johnson County Historical Society, Mt. Olive Cemetery, Warrensburg Parks and Recreation and Warrensburg Main Street created a day full of history and celebration for the community. Many presentations included the Black history in Warrensburg. African American individuals who reached fame, made impacts within the community and helped pave the way for others were recognized during presentations and tours.  more
