CANDIDATE FOR
JOHNSON COUNTY FIRE
PROTECTION DISTRICT
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Johnson County Fire Protection District Board of Directors hereby gives notice that a general municipal election will be held April 2, 2024 for the purpose of electing one member to the Board of Directors for a six-year term. Candidates shall, at the time of filing, be a registered voter and have resided in the district for more than one year. Candidates shall file their declaration of candidacy with the Johnson County Fire Protection District, 122 W. Young, Warrensburg, MO. The first day of filing will begin at 8:00 a.m. on December 5, 2023. Thereafter filings will be taken during normal business hours. The filing period ends at 5:00 p.m. on December 26, 2023. On that date, the filing process must be completed by 5:00 p.m. Any filing not completed by that time will not be accepted. The order in which candidates will appear on the April ballot will be determined by the order in which they file except on the first day of filing, the order will be determined by a random drawing. The names of candidates filing on the first day of filing for each office on each ballot shall be listed in ascending order of the numbers drawn. Candidate filings after the first day of filing will be taken on a first come first served basis.
