Following a successful and well-attended Soccer Watch Party on June 12, Warrensburg Parks & Recreation and Visit Warrensburg are excited to announce another community watch event as part of the CVB's Summer of Soccer initiative.
The event will take place on Thursday, June 25, and will feature an outdoor viewing party in the parking lot of the Warrensburg Community Center. Festivities will begin at 8:30 p.m., with kickoff scheduled for 9:00 p.m. as Team USA takes on Turkey.
Community members are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and their patriotic spirit as they gather to cheer on Team USA in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. Please note that the Warrensburg Community Center will close at its normal operating time of 8:30 p.m., and all event activities will take place outdoors in the Community Center parking lot.
Local food trucks have been invited to participate, helping create a festive atmosphere for attendees to enjoy while watching the match. Additional event information and participating vendors will be announced as details become available.
"We were thrilled with the turnout and enthusiasm from our first watch party," said Tony Albertina, Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation. "Partnering with the CVB through its Summer of Soccer initiative has been a great way to bring the community together. The excitement surrounding international soccer has created a fun atmosphere for residents and visitors alike, and we are looking forward to another great evening cheering on Team USA."
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot before the match begins.
