The former Holden city treasurer who allegedly spent $100,000 on city credit cards for personal use was sentenced after pleading guilty Monday, July 27.
Trista Garrett pled guilty to the charges of identity theft and stealing $25,000 or more.
The court sentenced Garrett two two concurrent eight-year prison terms, which were suspended. Garrett will instead serve five years of supervised probation and pay $600 monthly in restitution.
